The Eolia Mansion at Harkness is one of my favorite places in CT. The setting is truly romantic with the Victorian Gardens, it's setting on the L.I. Sound. If you've ever seen the movie `Meet Joe Black' there is a scene towards the end where the character `Death' (Brad Pitt) is ready to take Anthony Hopkins to the `other side', his time overdue (spinoff on `Death takes a Holiday'). Hopkins' daughter is in the middle of her reception outside a beautiful mansion and Hopkins and Pitt are off in the distance with the mansion as a backdrop. This is what I always think of when I see Eolia. So conducive is the setting to a festive celebration and the day was perfect in everyway, especially Leigh and Christian's first dance which was a joy to watch. Wonderful hosts, wonderful wedding, great time! Thank you Leigh and Christian!

Kelly / Slaughter Wedding- Lexington Yacht, NYC - 07.10.10
Boy was this a steamy day and nothing's steamier than spending it in NYC! Marion and Steve's Ceremony took place on the bow of the Lexington just after departure from the NY Skyport Marina on E. 23rd St in the East River. Directly after we cruised up river past the Queensboro Bridge to about 70th St, turned around and continued down to and around the Battery up the Hudson till about 70th St, turned around and back down the Hudson to the Statue of Liberty- a magnificent sight especially at night parked in the bay! Really a sight-seeing cruise for the first 3.5 hours of this 4.5 hour cruise and finally the last hour, guests were ready to kick off their shoes and dance back up the east river. A beautiful cruise, a wonderful couple and a very musically talented family. The bride's niece sang their first dance, `At Last'. The bride's son, Mike's band `SAVOY BAND', a Techno band released their first album that Tuesday and we celebrated with a song off his album.
What a great time....I felt like I was on vacation!
Thanks Marion and Steve!

Falzarano / Day Wedding- Saltwater Farms Vineyard, Stonington, CT - 07.04.10
Upon arrival at Saltwater Farm Vineyard I was greeted by the sounds of an Osprey feeding her (3) chicks. This beautiful vineyard is located on the site of a converted municipal airport; wine vats and reception room in the converted hangar with the vineyards stretching out to the runway and marsh land beyond along the Atlantic Ocean. The groom, an aviation hobbyist arrived via prop plane while the bride and her ladies readied themselves upstairs. A very casual, relaxed environment with fabulous food catered by the groom's own restaurant in Collinsville (Sorry Steve....I forgot the name of your restaurant!) A fun loving family with a great time had by all.
